I come from long lines of Appalachian mountain folk, yet I grew up in the valley of East Tennessee. Now, I live in Chicago, a city with hands both welcoming and work-worn, and a character edgy enough to raise an eyebrow when you say something like “mountain folk.”
If this site is a true reflection of its namesake it will cover a wide and sometimes disconnected array of the interesting, wonderful and moving.
These topics may include but are not limited to:
- Well spun stories
- Things that make us laugh
- Collaboration
- Creative and well executed marketing, advertising and design
- Travel
- Photography
- Basketball
- Bicycles
- Music
- Nature
- Ginger ale
- Film noir
- Suits, ties and sometimes shoes
That’s a fine list, but it’s also limiting. Let’s consider it simply a starting point.
Let’s talk. Let’s trade ideas. And stories. We can hang out. We can work together. If you want, we can ride our bikes to the top of Lookout Mountain, start a bonfire and ask the moon questions.
I’m glad you’re here.
